Online Personal Trainer vs Personal Trainer Brighton – Which Is Better?
This is a question I’m being asked more and more.
Should you hire an online coach, or are you better off working with a personal trainer in Brighton face-to-face?
The honest answer is that it depends entirely on you.
I’ve worked as a personal trainer in Brighton for over 25 years, but I also coach clients online, so I’ve seen both approaches work extremely well.
The bigge of face-to-face personal training is technique.
If you’re new to lifting weights, nervous in the gym, or have previous injuries, having someone standing next to you correcting your form can dramatically improve your confidence and reduce the risk of injury. It also means I can adapt sessions instantly depending on how you’re moving and feeling that day.
Face-to-face coaching also provides accountability. It’s much harder to skip a session when someone is waiting for you.
Online coaching, however, has improved massively over the last few years.
Most clients don’t actually need someone counting every repetition. What they need is a structured programme, clear nutritional advice, regular feedback, and someone who keeps them accountable over the long term.
That’s exactly what good online coaching provides.
It also offers far more flexibility. You can train around work, family life and holidays without trying to arrange appointments every week. Many people actually stick to training more consistently because it fits around their lifestyle rather than dictating it.
The reality is that results don’t come from where your coach is standing.
They come from consistently following the right programme.
I’ve seen clients achieve incredible body transformations training entirely online, just as I’ve seen fantastic results with face-to-face personal training in Brighton.
The important thing is choosing the option that you’ll actually stick with.
If you enjoy having someone beside you every session, face-to-face coaching is probably the better choice.
If you’re already comfortable in the gym and simply need expert programming, nutrition advice and accountability, online coaching may give you everything you need at a lower ongoing cost.
For some people, the best solution is actually a combination of both.
A few face-to-face sessions to learn good technique and build confidence, followed by online coaching to keep progressing over the months and years ahead.
At the end of the day, there isn’t a “better” option.
There’s only the option that’s right for your goals, your experience and your lifestyle.
Whether you’re looking for an online coach or a personal trainer in Brighton, the principles remain exactly the same: a sensible training programme, realistic nutrition, consistency and long-term progression will always beat quick fixes.
