Keep Lung Fit to be Healthy

What You Can Control.

We are in odd times, that is true. People are feeling powerless over their economic situation, personal freedoms and their health. I think it is essential when dealing with the any crisis Covid included that we start to control that which we can have direct influence over. Namely our fitness and our health. It’s easy when feeling powerless to give in a relinquish everything, however this will always make a bad situation worse. By keeping control of both our fitness and health we maintain some autonomy over ourselves, and also by this improve our chances of a quick recovery if we do contract the virus. Self agency is important , so start to reclaim this if you haven’t already by making some small steps in your health and training. It doesn’t need to be huge. Habit is the most important factor when it comes to maintaining a fitness regime. We are what we do each day, so even by starting with just ten reps of a different exercise daily will enable you to become a person who does exercise, then we can build up from there.

If you haven’t done anything for a while try the below just to get you going. Give it two weeks of the below routine and let me know how you feel at the end via email how you got on. then we can always improve on the base you’ve built . Take care and keep strong for yourself and those around you. Sam

Tuesday- 10 Bodyweight Squats

Wednesday- 10 Crunches

Thursday - 10 Rear chair dips
