Kettlebells represent the most exciting thing in the fitness in years. But in fact they have been around since the times of ancient greece when they were used to build up the strength stamina and conditioning of warriors and those competing in sports. A kettlebell looks pretty much like a cannon ball with a handle and is swung pressed and used to perform functional fitness patterns that are ideal for the middle aged lady to olympic athlete alike.

The main advantage of kettlebells is that they blur the line between strength and cardiovascular training. Both elements need to be included in any program and so this can be very time consuming. Kettlebells are used as a cardio workout that will increase whole body strength and promote excellent core stability- they really are the one piece of equipment that can be used as a stand alone tool of fitness. If you're not looking for a bodybuilder style of body but a lean hard toned physique kettlebells are for you!
