I have over 10 years personal experience in fitness training and am a qualified registered advanced personal trainer working mainly in Brighton.
I have trained myself since the age of six. For my own training I like to train every day using conventional weights in the gym to kettlebells and have a keen interest in submission grappling ( I train with the Alliance Bjj team Brighton)- in which I will be competing early next year.
I am qualified as an U.K.K.A kettlebell instructor and am a recognised leading authority in kettlebell use in the U.K. and if appropriate use these to help clients achieve their goals.
I also hold Paul Chek core conditioning certificates, one of the best strength and conditioning coaches world wide. As a Personal Trainer I am constantly striving to increase my own knowledge and constantly pursuing new courses and researching new techniques for my own professional development.
One of my skills lies in complete core assessments- each muscle in the core is examinesd and tested to see how it is performing (or under performing) and set the right level of exercise for you. I also conduct structural assessments on all of my clients to rule out any muscle length imbalances that can in the long term lead to postural pain and decreased performance.
I have two years physiotherapy training at degree level- the physiotherapy grounding helps me understand injury prevention and dynamics far more than a standard trainer and it makes my anatomical knowledge second to none and have just started a second degree in human biology.
I write many Personal training articles for local Brighton based and national magazines including 360 magazine and also the national mens magazine FQ. as their current fitness expert .
My writing for passion has extended to my forth coming sports conditioning book which was released this January under ENM publishing
If you would like to purchase a copy of the book please visit my shop section.
Being also a keen dog owner I supports various dog rescue charities.Along with the Terrance Higgins Trust the NSPCA and the Make a Wish Foundation being among my causes.
''Being a personal trainer in Brighton has given me so much , i've seen people change not only physically but mentally and I am really grateful that I have been part of it. ''
